In 2018, I conceptualized and directed the production of an augmented reality (AR) app titled "Welcome Abroad." The idea was to allow prospective EF students to virtually "meet" native English speakers from the UK and the USA at EF sales offices, aiming to generate excitement and position EF as a technology leader. Students could open the app, select one of the characters, and watch as the character appeared on their iPhone/iPad screen, seemingly in the same room, speaking to them in English.
While I created the concept, wrote the script, and directed the project, the AR video production and app development were handled by the London-based AR company HoloMe.
